Bunbly is made by Priyam Ventures Private Limited (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed.
The short version
- Recordings belong to the people who made them. We store them so your family can listen. We never sell them, never use them to train AI models, and never create voiceprints.
- We text a phone number only after the person who owns it has said yes themselves.
- You can export everything, or delete everything, at any time.
Who uses Bunbly
- Members: people who use the iPhone app (usually an adult child) and family members they invite to listen.
- Storytellers: the parents or grandparents who answer questions by text and web recorder. Storytellers don’t need an account.
What we collect
From members
- Your Apple ID sign-in identifier and the name Apple shares with us (Sign in with Apple; we never see your password).
- Details you enter about a storyteller: name, relationship, mobile number, time zone, a cover photo or color, and the questions you choose or write.
- Your subscription status from Apple (we never see your payment details).
- A device token so we can send notifications, if you allow them.
- How you heard about us, if you tell us.
- Basic usage events (for example “invite sent” or “first story received”), used only to improve Bunbly. We don’t use advertising or tracking SDKs.
From storytellers
- Your mobile number and your agreement to receive texts, including when and where you agreed (date, IP address and browser).
- Your recordings (made on the recording page, or sent to us as voice messages), and the transcripts, titles, summaries and highlighted moments we generate from them.
- Messages you send to our number, such as HELP, STOP, a reply or a voice message.
How we use it
- To send one question a week by text, record and save your answers, and share them with your family.
- To transcribe recordings and suggest a title, a one-line summary and a few highlighted moments. These are made automatically from your own words; we never change what you said.
- To run your subscription, keep Bunbly secure, prevent abuse and follow the law.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that run Bunbly, and only so they can do that work for us:
- Cloudflare: hosting, storage of recordings, and speech-to-text and text processing.
- Supabase: our database.
- Sendblue: sending and receiving iMessages (and text messages on other phones).
- Twilio: sending and receiving text messages (backup).
- Apple: sign-in, subscriptions and notifications.
Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the providers above that deliver the messages.
Recordings are shared only with the members of a storyteller’s family on Bunbly, and with anyone a member sends a share link to. A member can turn off a share link at any time.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person. If Bunbly is ever sold or merged, this policy will still protect your data, and we’ll tell you first.
Your choices
- Stop texts: reply STOP to any message. We’ll stop right away.
- Delete recordings (storytellers): tap “Delete my recordings” at the bottom of any recording page. We tell the family member who invited you, and we delete the recordings after 7 days, so a family member has a chance to talk with you first.
- Export (members): download every recording and transcript from Settings → Export, even if your subscription has ended.
- Delete your account (members): Settings → Delete account removes your account, your storytellers and their recordings from our systems.
- Questions or requests: email mail@warplabs.co. California residents and others with legal privacy rights can ask to see, correct or delete their data, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.
How long we keep data
We keep recordings and stories until a member or storyteller deletes them, or the account is deleted. Records of text-message consent are kept as long as the law requires, even after you opt out. Backups expire within 30 days of a deletion.
Children
Bunbly is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
Recordings are stored encrypted, and links to them are signed and expire. No system is perfect, but we work hard to protect your stories, and we’ll tell you if something goes wrong.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell members in the app before it takes effect.
