Grandma's painted Victorian at night, every window lit. A grey mama bunny in a rose cardigan sits on the front step under the porch light, recording a voice message on her phone, and Bun, a stuffed bunny, waves from the sidewalk.

Hi Linda, Sarah's question this week:

What's a sound from your childhood you wish you could hear one more time?

Whenever you're ready, send a voice message back.

“What's a sound from your childhood you wish you could hear one more time?”

Daddy's Whistle on McGregor Boulevard

Linda, 74 · 0:40

Oh, honey... my daddy's whistle. We lived off McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers, under all those tall royal palms, and every evening, right around six, he'd come walking home from the boatyard on the river, whistling. Always the same song. You could hear it three houses away. My sister and I would race each other to the screen door. He always let me win. I didn't know then that it was the best part of my whole day. Some evenings, when the house is real quiet... I swear I can still hear him, coming up the walk.

Kept. Forever.

Week by week, a memoir in their own voice.

I built Bunbly because the stories we most want to hear are the easiest to put off asking for. I didn't want to give anyone's parents another app to learn: just one question, in the place they already talk to us, and their voice, kept for good.

Good to know

Do they need an app?

No. No app, no account, no password, no links. A question arrives in Messages once a week, and they answer the way they would answer you: with a voice message.

What if they’re not great with phones?

If they have ever sent a voice message, they already know how. Tap +, then Audio, and talk. That is the whole thing. Skipping a week is fine, and there is nothing to set up on their side.

Both my parents?

Yes. One plan covers two people, like Mom and Dad. More are $29 a year each. Sharing a phone? They can answer together.

A gift?

A lovely one. Pick the day it begins, like a birthday or Christmas morning.

Who owns the recordings?

Your family. We never sell them, never change a word, and never use their voice for AI unless they say yes themselves.

And if I cancel?

Your stories stay yours to listen to and download forever, even if you cancel.
